Enteramente Roto

Enteramente Roto (Entirely Broken) is an installation that puts in dialogue ceramic interpretations of the Garzón train station. Located in twin rooms that face each other, the pieces seek to give evidence to the duality between the whole and the broken, thus generating a narrative between rooms. The whole form that seeks to contain its meaning and the broken, although it no longer conceives its functionality, offers the poetry of every fallen concept; taking the literality of the broken to generate new narratives and looking over the edges for the possibility of new frontiers. Enteramente Roto emotionally replicates the form of the Garzón station, as if we were to find some meaning in the repetition, seeking to touch the imperceptible limit like the finger that caresses the mud at the same time as it sinks into it.

Enteramente Roto

Enteramente Roto es una instalación que pone en diálogo interpretaciones en cerámica de la estación de tren Garzón. Ubicadas en cuartos gemelos y enfrentadas, las piezas buscan evidenciar la dualidad entre lo entero y lo roto generando así una narrativa entre habitaciones. La forma entera que busca contener su significado y lo roto, lo incompleto que, si bien ya no concibe su funcionalidad, ofrece la poesía de todo concepto caído, tomando la literalidad del romper para generar nuevas narrativas, buscando sobre los bordes las posibilidades de nuevas fronteras. Enteramente Roto replica de modo emocional la forma de la estación de tren de Garzón, como si fuéramos a encontrar en la repetición algún sentido, buscando tocar el límite imperceptible como el dedo que acaricia el barro al mismo tiempo que se hunde en él.

Maria Agustina Fernandez Raggio (Argentina, 1985) is a visual artist living in Montevideo. She seeks to generate work through thought reflections on different social issues. Sometimes starting from personal places, such as her city or her travels, other times rethinking history and our rituals as a society. From the beginning, her search led her to self-management and to the exploration of portraiture as a constant practice and uninterrupted reflection. Exercising herself in various languages, she deepens her thinking and sensibility. She exhibits her work in Uruguay, Argentina, Cuba, Germany, Bulgaria and China.

Maria Agustina Fernandez Raggio (Argentina, 1985) es una artista plástica que vive en Montevideo. Su obra busca generar a través del pensamiento, reflexiones sobre diferentes temáticas sociales. A veces partiendo de lugares personales, como su ciudad o sus recorridos, otras repensando la historia y nuestros rituales como sociedad. Desde el inicio, su búsqueda la condujo a la autogestión y a la exploración del retrato como práctica constante y reflexión ininterrumpida. Ejercitándose en varios lenguajes ahonda en su pensamiento y sensibilidad. Exhibe sus trabajos en Uruguay, Argentina, Cuba, Alemania, Bulgaria y China.
