Alfredo Ghierra was born in Montevideo in 1968. He studied architecture and art at the School of Architecture of Montevideo and at the National School of Fine Arts respectively, between 1985 and 1990. He previously studied audiovisual languages while taking a film course at the Cinematheque. Uruguayan. Though he mainly works in ink drawings, he also creates photography, digital art, animation and oil paintings. From 1994 to now, he has contributed to personal and group exhibitions inside and outside of Uruguay (Montevideo, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Brasilia, Sofia, Venice, Madrid, etc). He currently lives and works in Montevideo as an art director in the audiovisual media field.
